The outburst recently during the President's national address by Joe Wilson (R) of South Carolina is but one more example of the direction our national discourse has taken. Dialog has disappeared and raucous monologues with no tolerance of opposing views have replaced it.

Plenty of attention has been paid to the amount of oil our country currently imports (70% +). Some pundits have warned that depending on oil from certain foreign sources, such as those with extreme religious or political views, is a national security threat, while others diffuse this suggestion by pointing out that our largest supplier of oil is Canada, which is hardly a threat to national security. He hasn't even been sworn in yet and people are already setting aggressive expectations for President-elect Obama. True, he has his work cut out for him, but we all need to set our expectations at a reasonable level. It took years to get into this mess and it won't be resolved in 90 days.

Well, the clock is running down on the election and I've found a few tools that may be of interest as you're counting down the days until November 4th.
Everyone is wondering what the tax impact will be under each of the presidential candidate's plans. I looked around at several tools that perform those calculations. Obama has his own, but I suppose Conservatives might not trust the numbers - duh!
